| Your Self Catering Holiday Cottage on the beautiful Isle of Skye You will find Loch View Cottage peacefully located above a quiet single track road just a mile or so from the village of Carbost. The bright, cosy, two-bedroom cottage has a panoramic view over Loch Harport. The nearby village is home to the world famous Talisker whisky distillery, and also has a shop, post office and pub. At the cottage, you will be just nine miles from Sligachan - a popular starting point for exploring the Cuillin mountains. Glen Brittle forest tracks are just 8 miles away, and the large sandy beach at the foot of Glen Brittle is wonderful for children. What a place for a holiday! The Isle of Skye is beloved by Photographers, Artists and Birdwatchers, The location of Loch View Cottage will suit them all. Golden Eagles and the rare White Tailed Eagle may be spotted overhead. Otters inhabit the Loch, and there are Red Deer on the hills. Sunsets from nearby Portnalong can be especially spectacular, and after dark, look up to see a sky filled with more stars that you can imagine. Walkers and Climbers will find plenty to explore. There are wonderful coastal walks all around the area - set out straight from the door of the cottage! The magnificent Cuillin mountains are just a few miles away. If you plan to venture far into the mountains, we recommend employing the services of a mountain guide.
