Loch View Cottage is located within the Minginish district of Skye, just a mile from the village of Carbost - home to Skye's only distillery.

The nearby coast is well worth exploring, with spectacular cliffs and sandy bays, and the grandeur of the magnificent Cuillin mountains are never far away.

Extensive coastal and mountain views can be had from many of the Minginish hilltops.

The area is also rich in historical remains, the most notable being at Rubha an Dùnain, reached from a track which starts above Glen Brittle beach.
